Balloon Chase Adventures

I have known today a magnificent intoxication. I have learnt how it feels to be a bird. I have flown. Yes I have flown. I am still astonished at it, still deeply moved. — Le Figaro, 1908

About Us...
Ray Chase, our pilot

Ray began ballooning in 1983 as a crew member.  He quickly fell in love with floating above the ground in a balloon and was on his way to getting his license.  Ray is a commerical pilot with over 250 hours of piloting time.  Ray enjoys spending long weekends at balloon festivals all over Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.  Ray's favorite place to fly is St. Jean Sur-Richelieu in Quebec, Canada where he and his family go to Canada's largest balloon festival every August.

Maureen, our Crew Chief
Who better to be in charge of keeping the crew (the family) in line than mom?  Maureen keeps everybody organized, makes sure we all eat well, drives the chase van and always finds Ray, no matter where he ends up landing, even if it is a 3 hour tour!

Sometimes it takes awhile for the pilot to get to the field the crew has picked...

Bob and Nancy...without them we would be only half a balloon team!

Dawn, our other pilot
Dawn grew up around balloons and for as long as she can remember has always wanted to fly.  Dawn recently earned her private pilot's license and is working on her commercial license.

Sometimes we even steal crew from other balloon teams...we can't help it if Justin has more adventures with us!
